I am a Master Teacher, should I still train Participant Teachers?
Yes, please do schedule your courses for Participant Teachers. Nothing has changed in Intel’s support for Master Teachers. Materials and support, including curriculum books and online resources, will be provided without charge for all MTs currently involved with the program. Please follow the process you learned in your training to schedule a course and order materials.

Will the Regional Training Agency in my state continue to provide support?
The Intel® Teach Program will no longer be deployed through Regional Training Agencies (RTAs).  Program support for participating LEAs will be provided by the Institute of Computer Technology, the national training agency for Intel Teach.  New LEAs are welcome to apply online to participate, and training for new MT candidates is available nationwide at prescheduled locations and times. No, Intel is not reducing funding for education initiatives.  The Intel Teach program will continue to serve schools, teachers, and students nationwide.

Why is Intel shifting the strategy now?
To improve their reach and maximize the number of schools, teachers, and students who benefit from the program, Intel Foundation resources will be focused to support systemic deployment by State Departments of Education and Great City School districts where Intel Teach aligns with their priorities for development of 21st century skills.

Which states and Great City School Districts are engaged in systemic deployment with Intel Foundation support in 2007?
Intel Foundation will announce 2007 Intel Teach Affiliate (ITA) grant awards in December 2006.  For additional information contact teacher.training@intel.com.
